Description

Unleash the botanical power of German Chamomile Essential Oil, a striking deep blue oil known for its intense herbaceous aroma and rich, earthy undertones. Steam-distilled from the delicate flowers of Matricaria recutita, this oil stands out not just for its vivid colour, but for its depth of scent and exceptional versatility in natural skincare, aromatherapy, and perfumery.

What makes German Chamomile unique is its natural chamazulene content, which gives the oil its signature blue hue and distinguishes it from other chamomile oils. Our oil is 100% pure and undiluted, sourced directly from growers in Nepal, where high-altitude cultivation and traditional harvesting methods produce a superior-quality flower.

This isn’t a watered-down floral scent—it’s a bold, grounding, resinous floral that blends beautifully with lavender, clary sage, frankincense, patchouli, or sandalwood.

Why It Belongs in Your Collection:

  • Pure Matricaria recutita essential oil – steam-distilled, no fillers

  • Deep blue oil rich in naturally occurring chamazulene

  • Ideal for use in skincare formulations (diluted), diffusers, and natural perfumes

  • Sourced from high-altitude farms in Nepal

  • Bottled fresh in the UK – small batch, high quality, fully traceable

Origin & Extraction:

Our German Chamomile Oil is steam-distilled from freshly harvested Matricaria recutita blossoms grown at altitude in Nepal. The flowers are picked at their aromatic peak and distilled using traditional low-pressure steam methods to retain their complex, sweet-herbaceous scent and rich concentration of azulenes and esters.

The result is a vibrant, inky blue oil with a powerful aroma and broad formulation value in luxury skincare and wellness products.

How to Use:

This is a highly concentrated essential oil. Always dilute before applying to the skin or adding to baths or lotions.

Diffuser: Add 2–4 drops to your diffuser. Works well alone or blended with calming oils like lavender, clary sage, or neroli.

Skincare (Diluted Only): Mix 1 drop per 10ml of carrier oil (jojoba, calendula-infused oil, or almond oil). Suitable for use in DIY facial oils, balms, or after-sun blends.

Bath: Add 2 drops to a tablespoon of carrier oil or unscented soap base before mixing into water. Provides a deeply relaxing aromatic bath experience.

Natural Perfume: A strong base note. Use 1–2 drops per 10ml of natural perfume blend to add a unique, earthy depth.

Cautions:

  • For external use only

  • Do not apply neat to the skin – always dilute

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets

  • Avoid during pregnancy unless advised by a qualified practitioner

  • Store in a cool, dark place to preserve potency

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is German Chamomile the same as Roman Chamomile?
No. German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) is chemically and aromatically different from Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile). It’s stronger in scent and naturally blue due to chamazulene.

Why is it blue?
German Chamomile contains chamazulene, a naturally occurring compound that turns deep blue during steam distillation. It’s a visual marker of quality and purity.

Can I use it on my skin?
Yes, but only when diluted. It’s often used in skincare for its calming aromatic qualities, especially in blends for mature or sensitive skin types.

Can I ingest this oil?
No. This oil is not for internal use under UK/EU regulations.

Why Buy from Us?

We don’t compromise on purity or provenance. Our German Chamomile Essential Oil is steam-distilled from flowers grown in the UK and bottled fresh, without fillers or synthetic boosters. Whether you’re a perfumer, formulator, or home user, you’ll notice the difference in quality from the very first drop.
