FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I place an order?


It’s easy to place an order with us. Log-in to your account or continue as a guest to begin browsing our range. Once you’ve found the product you want, you’ll need to click ‘Add to basket’. You can either carry on shopping or click ‘View Basket’ if you’ve got everything you need; this will give you the option to checkout. If you have any addresses or payment options saved to your account then these will automatically display in the checkout, making it quick and easy to complete the order. Otherwise you’ll need to enter the details manually. Check everything is correct and you’re good to go. We’ll send you an email as soon as the order is on its way.




Can I place an order over the phone?


We encourage customers to place orders online, so payment can be made securely and orders processed promptly. However, we are here to help if required, so please feel free to call us on 01493 604952, if required, for assistance.




Are all the oils supplied by Oils4life 100% pure.


All oils supplied by Oils4life are 100% pure, unless otherwise stated on the product page. Certain oils, such as Benzoin are diluted with a carrier, as they are not mobile in their raw form.

Oils4life has been in business since 2003. We pride ourselves on the quality and purity of all our products. We source our oils, wherever possible, directly from the growers, the distillation plant or from very reputable importers. All our products then go through rigorous quality analysis testing. We are also full members of The Aromatherapy Trade Council who are dedicated to ensuring the quality and purity of their members oils. Our essential oils are subject to random inspections, analysis and verification at an independent laboratory determined by external bodies, as required.




Are all oils supplied by Oils4life Certified Organic


The organic status of each product is clearly detailed on the product page. Our range of organic essential oils and carrier oils are certified organic by the Soil Association to both COSMOS and EU Food Grade standards.




Why are the oils from Oils4life so cheap. Does that mean they are diluted or otherwise inferior?


Unless otherwise stated on the product page, our oils are NOT diluted or adulterated in any way. We like to look at our oils as being ‘great value’, rather than cheap! One of our core objectives is “to supply high quality oils at great prices” and this is something we continue to aspire to today.




Can orders be shipped internationally?


Yes, customers can order for delivery worldwide. Shipping charges are automatically calculated online.




Do your prices include VAT?


Our online prices are shown excluding VAT. VAT (if applicable) is added during the checkout.




What are your delivery charges?


Customers should refer to the Delivery Charges page for more information. Charges are automatically calculated online and applied to the shopping basket.




How long after placing my order will I receive my goods?


Orders are usually dispatched within 3 working days (usually sooner). Orders are either shipped by Royal Mail or by courier, depending on order value, size and / or weight. UK Orders usually take no more than 2 working days. International shipments can take up to 15 working days.




Will my order be insured whilst in transit?


Orders are insured in transit for loss or damage caused as a result of the negligence of our courier/postal service provider. For shipments organised by the customer, insurance is the responsibility of the customer.




Can I return goods for a refund?


Yes, as long as you notify us with 3 working days from receiving your order and the products have not been personalised for you and have not been opened. We would then give you a full refund on receipt of the returned order. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please see our full terms and conditions.




Can I have a credit account with Oils4life?


Credit accounts are issued by exception only. If you believe that you need a credit account then please contact us on enquiries@oils4life.co.uk




What is the life expectancy of my products?


Our base products and natural oils are supplied with a commercial expiry date on the label, correlating with the manufacturers information. Essential oils may last several years, however, this can only be determined through ongoing analysis. Our O4aroma range of cosmetic products will have an expiry date, determined as an ouput of products safety assessment and/or stability test. We will also include a PAO symbol (Period After Opening) where appropriate. For products with a shelf life of at least 30 months, no indication of expiration date is required on the packaging, but a PAO is mandatory. Oils4life has very few products that this would apply to.




Are there any additional taxes/charges I need to pay if importing Oisl4life products from outside of the UK?


There is a high likelihood that you will need to pay some form of charge to the customs authority in your own country. Oils4life has no influence over this. Customers should check with the customs department in their own country for more information. Each product has an assigned Tariff Code which will be notified on commercial invoices when shipping good internationally. The customer is responsible for paying all import charges/taxes in their country. Any orders returned to Oils4life as a result of the customer refusing to pay (or not paying) these charges will be subject to a restocking fee to the value of 25% of the order value and/or will be required to cover the original costs incurred by Oils4life for shipping.
